ABOUT ABOUT

The Norris is pleased to announce our first concert production in a venue other than the NCAC. We will present the Delphi Trio in its first Chicago area recital at 7:30 PM on Thursday, August 9, at historic Ganz Hall in the Auditorium Theater Building (now part of Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts).

Based in San Francisco, the Delphi Trio has become a fixture on the Bay Area chamber music scene, performing frequently on the popular Old First Concert Series, as resident ensemble for...Chamber Music Marin, and in a variety of other California venues. The trio also has performed in Germany and Canada, and is the ensemble in residence at the annual Dakota Sky International Piano Festival. Beginning its third season as an ensemble, the Delphi Trio looks forward to presenting three commissioned world premier piano trio compositions; performing the Beethoven "Triple Concerto" with the San Jose Chamber Orchestra; and appearing on the nationally recognized Artists Series of Sarasota (Fla.).

The Delphi Trio will perform works by Haydn (Piano Trio No. 23 in E flat major, Hob. XV:10), Dvorak (Piano Trio in F minor, Op. 65) and Schubert ("Trout" Piano Quintet in A major, D. 667). For the Schubert quintet, the Delphi Trio will welcome guest bassist Jonathan Cegys and a violist to-be-announced.

The trio includes violinist Liana Berube, cellist Michelle Kwon, and pianist Jeffrey LaDeur, a St. Charles native and alumnus of St. Charles East H.S. For more information and recorded performance excerpts, please visit www.TheDelphiTrio.com.
